Zac Efron becomes a dad in a cult movie remake for Disney

Zac Efron becomes a dad in a cult movie remake for Disney

Zac Efron became a star through the Disney film series “High School Musical”. Now, after many years of working for other studios, he is returning to Disney and takes on the lead role in the cult comedy remake “Three more men, one more baby”.

If Zac Efron was still a singing and dancing youngster in the “High School Musical” series, he will take on great responsibility in his latest film role: He plays a (substitute) dad – more precisely one of three.

Because as The Hollywood Reporter reports, Zac Efron takes on a role in the remake of “Three Men And A Baby”.

Because as The Hollywood Reporter reports, Zac Efron takes on a role in the remake of “Three Men And A Baby”.

While the title is now correctly translated “Three Men and a Baby”, the Hollywood comedy was shown in German cinemas in 1988 under the title “Another three men, one more baby”. “Three men and a baby” is the name of the French original in Germany, of which the 80s film is already a remake.

“Three more men, one more baby”

“Another three men, one more baby” starring Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg was a huge hit in the cinemas, grossed 168 million US dollars worldwide and developed into a cult comedy. It is also the first real-life Disney film ever to break the $ 100 million mark at the US box office – not uncommon today, but a gigantic success back then.

It is also the first real-life Disney film to break the $ 100 million mark at the US box office

The film is about three bachelors who share an apartment in Manhattan. When one day there is a baby in front of their door whose father is supposed to be one of them, chaos breaks out. Because none of them really know how to take care of a baby – but they do their best and soon they can no longer imagine life without the little girl!

Incidentally, the comedy was directed by Spock actor Leonard Nimoy. For the sequel “Three Men and a Little Lady”, Nimoy did not return to the director’s chair, but Selleck, Danson and Guttenberg took over the leading roles again and took care of their now slightly older daughter as replacement dads. Directed by Emile Ardolino.

The other men are still missing

Zac Efron will play in the remake for the streaming service Disney, according to THR, as one of the three men who take care of the foundling and possibly the daughter of one of them and get from one absurd situation to the next. It is not yet known which actors complete the trio. A director also has to be found.

It is not yet known which actors complete the trio. A director also has to be found.

The script, however, is already in place, contributed by Will Reichel, while Gordon Gray takes over the production. And in this role, he already has experience with family films in which men are overwhelmed when it comes to parenting issues – he produced the comedies “Daddy Without a Plan” and “Tooth Fairy On Probation” with Dwayne Johnson, among others.

Zac Efron is currently on Netflix

It will be a while before the “Three More Men, One More Baby” remake can be seen on Disney, as the comedy has to be shot first.

But if you want Zac Efron supplies now, you can find him on Netflix: The series “Around the World with Zac Efron” started there in July 2020, in which the actor travels the world and deals with sustainable living YESmovies.

Stream fast Netflix knocks Steven Spielbergs ultimate nerd fireworks off the program

Stream fast: Netflix knocks Steven Spielberg’s ultimate nerd fireworks off the program

Steven Spielberg has mainly made period films in recent years – until in 2018 he finally fired the pop-cultural fireworks “Ready Player One”. You can still watch the blockbuster adventure on Netflix, but not for long …

Anyone who, after films like “Lincoln”, “Bridge Of Spies” or “Die Verlegerin”, had slowly lost hope that Steven Spielberg would finally deliver visually stunning, large, unprecedented action cinema, was redeemed in 2018 – because that is exactly what “Ready Player One” is.

Based on Ernest Cline’s bestseller * of the same name, the film version was also a hit in the cinema, with production costs of 175 million dollars at a respectable 582 million dollars. Netflix subscribers who may have missed the film in the cinema or who may even see it again and again and discover new things should watch it (again) quickly. Because:

Ready Player One is only available on Netflix through August 15, 2020!

Ready Player One is only available on Netflix through August 15, 2020!

That’s what Ready Player One is all about

In the year 2045, the lives of many people on the rundown earth will largely take place in the OASIS – a virtual world invented by the ingenious and eccentric programmer James Halliday (Mark Rylance), which has more to offer than the gloomy reality. And so the 18-year-old Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) spends most of his life immersing himself in this world with his avatar Parzival and solving the puzzles of the OASIS mastermind.

Because the one who is the first to master all the challenges, beckons not only wealth, but also control over the OASIS. It won’t be easy for Wade and his new friends, including Art3emis (Olivia Cooke) and Aech (Lena Waithe), but they won’t give up – and neither will the unscrupulous CEO Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn), who absolutely wants OASIS want to tear under the nail …

Thrilling blockbuster cinema

For us, “Ready Player One” is absolutely thrilling blockbuster cinema, despite small narrative weaknesses, in which nerds and geeks of all generations can probably discover more pop cultural allusions than in any other film.

The review of “Ready Player One”

Our review says about Steven Spielberg: “In ‘Ready Player One’ he uses the possibilities of the medium for a thrilling spectacle, a visually overwhelming 3-D trip into never-before-seen worlds made of nothing but familiar elements movie 4k.” 5 possible stars for a coherent (and highly entertaining) overall package.

By the way: On November 24th, 2020 the sequel will be released with “Ready Player Two” * – for the time being only as a book.

After all these years finally uncut FSK releases three legendary cult classics after re-examination

After all these years finally uncut: FSK releases three legendary cult classics after re-examination

Warner recently submitted the once indexed films “Blade”, “Friday the 13th” and “Last Boy Scout” to the FSK for re-examination – with unsurprising, but nevertheless gratifying results: all three got the green light in the uncut version.

Just because a film once landed on the index – that is, it was indexed and consequently could no longer be openly offered and sold in Germany – does not mean that it will stay there forever. Since the viewing habits of viewers simply change over time, films still have the chance to return to “freedom” a few years later. Even if the way there is often difficult.

For three absolute cult classics from Warner, the ordeal is over once and for all. After they had already been deleted from the index in recent years and thus at least released for open trading, the only thing missing was the re-examination or the new classification of the FSK. And that’s exactly what is there now.

“Blade”: Vampire Horror with Wesley Snipes

In January 2019 we already reported that the legendary Marvel film “Blade” from the pre-MCU era was finally taken off the index after almost 20 years 123MOVIES. In view of the current circumstances, the uncut version received “no youth release” after a renewed appraisal – and thus remains from 18.

Anyone who wants to experience Wesley Snipes as a merciless vapir hunter is best served if he gets the complete trilogy in the uncut set – it’s already available for just under 20 euros on Blu-ray: Buy the “Blade” trilogy *

“Last Boy Scout”: Bruce Willis cooler than ever

While horror films in particular land on the index, action films in particular had a hard time with the censors in the past – for example Tony Scott’s “Last Boy Scout”, which has not been indexed since 2018. The FSK re-examination has been a long time coming. The result: “no youth approval”.

For the author of these lines, the action thriller with Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans is even one of the coolest films of the 90s, not least thanks to the razor-sharp, cheeky dialogues that we buddy film expert Shane Black (“Lethal Weapon”, “Last Action Hero ”). The uncut Blu-ray is available for just under 13 euros: Buy “Last Boy Scout” *

Buy “Last Boy Scout” *

“Friday the 13th”: Slasher cult from the 80s

Sean S. Cunningham’s slasher cult “Friday the 13th” had an even longer way from the first censorship to the uncut release. It was already indexed in 1983, which even 25 years later did not change – at the re-examination in 2008, according to the BPjM (Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People) there was still a risk to young people. Since 2017, the film is finally no longer indexed, three years later the official FSK rating of 18 follows: “No youth release”.

After the first film about genre icon Jason Voorhees (which, strictly speaking, isn’t even about him) and some of his other butchering orgies were even subscribed to Amazon Prime Video until recently, you now have to pay for it. Alternatively, the uncut version has long been available on disc anyway – as are most of the sequels that have since passed the FSK test: buy “Friday the 13th” *

Aquaman 2 Director James Wan wants more horror in the sequel

“Aquaman 2”: Director James Wan wants more horror in the sequel

Many months will pass before “Aquaman 2” hits the cinemas. Nevertheless, there is now news about the project. Director James Wan has now revealed what he has planned for the sequel.

The online convention DC FanDom will take place on August 22nd, 2020 and as part of the program there should be some news about films such as “The Batman”, “Wonder Woman 1984” and other DC projects. “Aquaman 2” will also be a topic and we can already look forward to news about the film.

In the run-up to the event, which can only take place virtually due to Corona, DC Comics posted a Q on Twitter

When asked whether “Aquaman 2” will contain horror elements, Wan replied with “I would say yes” and even detailed his plans. The director, who has already made quite successful horror films with “Saw” and “Insidious”, explains that the genre ultimately makes up a large part of his personality and that he laid the foundation for it in the first “Aquaman” film. He will add more of his “creepy sauce” to the sequel.

Even more “Aquaman” horror in “The Trench”

In addition to “Aquaman 2”, James Wan has another underwater world project in the pipeline. The spin-off “The Trench” will be about the Trench, one of the seven kingdoms of Atlantis, in which human-like creatures have developed into amphibious underwater monsters over centuries 9MOVIES. The production is a horror film, but Wan only appears as a producer.

Although his scenes are in the can: Chris D’Elia flies out of Zack Snyder’s Netflix zombie film “Army Of The Dead”

Because of the allegations of having sexually molested underage girls, the role of comedian Chris D’Elia in “Army Of The Dead” is reassigned – and completely re-recorded, as the scenes have already been shot.

Zack Snyder made a zombie movie for Netflix, Army Of The Dead, which is slated for release in 2021. The cast includes a. Dave Bautista, Matthias Schweighöfer and Ella Purnell (“The island of special children”).

Comedian and actor Chris D’Elia also recorded scenes for “Army Of The Dead” – but his part is now being shot again, with Tig Notaro (“Star Trek Discovery”, “Transparent”) in his role.

On the cast photo, Chris D’Elia can be seen third from the left:

Sexual harassment allegations

The industry magazine Deadline reports on the unusual change of position. The background is the allegations against Chris D’Elia that he sexually molested underage girls on social networks. D’Elia had told TMZ about the allegations that she “never knowingly made contact with underage women” and “never exchanged inappropriate photos with people who tweeted about me” losmovies.

As a consequence of the allegations, u. a. Comedy Central already has an episode and a Comedy Special with Chris D’Elia from the program.

Situation is reminiscent of “All the money in the world” and Kevin Spacey

As soon as the Corona situation allows, the re-shooting of “Army Of The Dead” should begin. Chris D’Elias substitute Tig Notaro is to shoot partly with colleagues, partly in front of a green screen. The situation is reminiscent of the re-shoots for the thriller “All the Money in the World”: After the harassment and abuse allegations against Kevin Spacey, director Ridley Scott completely re-recorded his not exactly small part within a few weeks, with Christopher Plummer as a replacement.

By the way, “Army Of The Dead” is set in Las Vegas after a zombie epidemic. There a group of mercenaries enter the quarantine zone to carry out a major robbery.

With Superman Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes: First trailer for Netflix ’” Enola Holmes “

After Marvel stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey, DC hero Henry Cavill (“Man Of Steel”) slips into the role of the legendary detective – even if “Enola Holmes” is mainly about his sister. Here is the first trailer:

Originally, “Enola Holmes” was supposed to be in the cinema. After the cinema release was canceled due to the Corona, the film from Studio Warner finally migrated to Netflix, where the film is now to be released next fall.

When exactly the first little trailer for the film reveals – provided you can decipher the puzzle. On the official Twitter account, the streaming giant simply states: “alone loshme reeebtpms wnettyrhitd”. Anyone who speaks the English language should, however, quickly recognize the release date of the film in the salad of letters:

“Enola Holmes” will run on Netflix from September 23, 2020.

That’s what “Enola Holmes” is about

Based on the Enola Holmes book series *, “Enola Holmes” is for once not about master detective Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), but primarily about his teenage sister Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown).

After her mother Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter) disappears, 16-year-old Enola first seeks support from her brothers, who, however, want to deport them to boarding school. But Enola, which is also endowed with the genius that is widespread in the family, cannot be shaken off that easily. She makes her way to London on her own …

The “Man Of Steel” of the DC Extended Universe, Henry Cavill, slips into the role of cult investigator Sherlock Holmes – and thus also in the footsteps of Charlton Heston, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Christopher Plummer, Robert Downey Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch. This time the focus is not on Sherlock, but on Enola, who is embodied by “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown.

Also there are Sam Claflin (“Peaky Blinders”) as Sherlocks and Enola’s brother Mycroft and Helena Bonham Carter (“Alice in Wonderland”) as mother Eudoria. The production was done by Harry Bradbeer (“Fleabag”) 123movieshd.

The Agents Of SHIELD Finale bows before Avengers 4 Endgame

The “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Finale bows before “Avengers 4: Endgame”

Actually, the content of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” had moved away from the MCU and the “Avengers” films, but in the last two episodes of the Marvel series there was again a big bow to “Avengers: Endgame” …

In 2013 “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” started as a spin-off series from the biggest MCU success to date, “The Avengers”. In the first seasons, therefore, clear reference was made to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – starting with the main character Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), through guest appearances, to links with the events of “Thor 2” or “The Return Of The First Avenger” .

In later seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., however, the series increasingly stood on its own two feet – not a bad idea, since the MCU films ignored the series events anyway and the series makers could thus take more creative freedom.

In the season finale broadcast on August 12, 2020, however, they turned back the bow and bowed to “Avengers 4: Endgame”, which in 2019 brought the first 11 years and 22 films of the MCU to a bombastic conclusion. Although there were still references here and there to the Marvel movies in the previous seasons, this is quite surprising.

Time travel like in “Avengers 4”

At the end of the first episode of the two-episode finale of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) suddenly appears again, who was hardly seen in the seventh and final season until then.

And Fitz has a surprising revelation for his fellow S.H.I.E.L.D .: Coulson, May (Ming-Na Wen), Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Co. acted in an alternate timeline throughout the season.

Coulson, May (Ming-Na Wen), Skye (Chloe Bennet) and Co. acted in an alternate timeline throughout the season.

Anyone who has seen “Avengers 4: Endgame” knows that, as in the final season “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, it is about time travel across the decades, but the central element of parallel timelines has been missing so far Fmovies. In “Endgame” the heroes create such timelines by removing the Infinity Stones from their ancestral times.

Fitz also shows his colleagues how they can all return to their actual timeline with the help of the quantum realm. In “Avengers 4”, too, time travel took place with the help of the quantum level and the Pym particles.

The episodes are only available there in the original with subtitles. The German version should be available at Disney in the next few years, where seasons 4 and 5 have recently been available. *

After just one season Netflix surprisingly discontinues the new series of the House of Money maker

After just one season: Netflix surprisingly discontinues the new series of the “House of Money” maker

Actually everything looked like “White Lines” would get a 2nd season. Now, however, Marcus actor Daniel Mays has confirmed: The Netflix series will not get any more episodes, but will end prematurely after Season 1.

When “White Lines”, a new series from “House of Money” creator Álex Pina, launched on Netflix in May 2020, we were also very confident that the story of the death of an Ibiza DJ would continue with a second season becomes. After all, it was enthroned for a long time at the top of the daily updated lists of the most watched Netflix content.

In addition, producer Andy Harries stated that the series was designed for three seasons. Season 2 was even carefully prepared with a search for possible filming locations. But now there is a surprising back down:

Netflix drops “White Lines” after the first season.

Netflix drops “White Lines” after the first season.

This was confirmed by Daniel Mays, who was part of the main cast in the series as Marcus, after the first rumors now “with a heavy heart” via Instagram:

It is rumored that the difficult production conditions due to the current Corona situation (especially for an internationally filmed series like “White Lines”) could have been a reason for the decision. In his post, Mays thanked Netflix, the production studios and Álex Pina for the “ride of his life” Rainierland.

It is rumored that the difficult production conditions due to the current Corona situation (especially for an internationally filmed series like “White Lines”) could have been a reason for the decision.

After all, only a half-open ending

The end for “White Lines” shouldn’t please fans, but at least they won’t be left with a completely open ending. Although the course was set for a continuation of the plot in the finale of season 1, the mystery of the central death has been completely resolved. So everyone who is still curious about the series can definitely take a look.

And there is a tiny consolation: Álex Pina should now have a little more time to concentrate more on a worthy conclusion to his Netflix hit “House of Money”, which is due to end with the coming fifth season.

The Batman That reveals the first trailer about the dark DC film

“The Batman”: That reveals the first trailer about the dark DC film

The first trailer for “The Batman” hit like a bomb. We took another close look at the preview video and analyzed it scene by scene. Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman: There’s a lot in there …

A new trailer for “Wonder Woman 2”, a first trailer for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”, new information about “Suicide Squad 2” and “Black Adam” and much more: The DC FanDome last weekend had some for comic fans happy surprises ready.

The first trailer for “The Batman” left the most impression on social media (and also here on ). We took another close look at the preview.

The Riddler

The trailer begins with a completely masked figure wrapping a corpse with duct tape. At first glance, it is unclear who it is, but as the trailer continues, it becomes clear: It has to be Riddler (Paul Dano) cmovieshd. Stick and green suit with question mark motif as in the comics (or in Jim Carrey from “Batman Forever”) are missing, but the killer leaves puzzles at the scene that are addressed to Batman (Robert Pattinson).

Batman and the Police

The trailer also seems to show that the police, in the form of James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), are initially working with Batman. Apparently that will change as the film progresses. Later scenes show Batman in a scramble with several cops and on the run while the police are shooting at him. At the same time, of course, there is a possibility that these are corrupt cops.

The bath cave

The bath cave in “The Batman” is apparently little more than an abandoned subway station or something similar. No high-tech gadgets and no trophy collection, just a few computers and training equipment and Batman’s vehicles.

Catwoman

“The Batman” will play as a masked avenger in Batman’s second year and accordingly also show many of his opponents and comrades-in-arms in their early years. This applies to Selina Kyle alias Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), who appears here as a burglar in two short scenes (with a hat reminiscent of cat ears) and to clash with Batman.

penguin

And above all, it also applies to Oswald Cobblepot alias Pinguin, who is played in “The Batman” by an unrecognizable Colin Farrell and, according to director Matt Reeves, is only just making a name for himself in Gotham. Apart from the long nose, nothing is reminiscent of a penguin.

Joker gang?

Rumor has it that the Joker is mentioned in “The Batman”, before Batman’s archenemy then also plays a bigger role in “The Batman 2” and “The Batman 3”. But it is rather unlikely that Batman beat up a group of Joker henchmen in the trailer, even if they have white make-up and red-painted mouths. Maybe this is simply a gang in Gotham.

The Batmobile

The Batmobile was previously unveiled by Matt Reeves and is now shown briefly in action in the trailer. In “The Batman” it is neither a comic bat vehicle nor a converted tank, but “only” a pimped up muscle car.

Batman and Riddler

In the last moments of the trailer there is an interesting revelation: “You are part of it too” whispers (presumably) the Riddler to Batman. The second attack by the Riddler in his car at the funeral earlier in the trailer suggests that the Riddler might have guessed Batman’s identity, as Bruce Wayne is there in civilian clothes.

And on the DC FanDome panel for “The Batman,” Matt Reeves revealed that the Wayne family had something to do with Gotham’s dark past. Maybe these are the lies the Riddler is trying to expose.

We’ll find out in a good year. “The Batman” is due to hit German cinemas on September 30, 2021.
